Northside portraits

Another shoot with Ruby. I have this secret (not so secret) spot, I’m in love with this place for portraits. It has a little bit of everything. Color, with the whites from the limestone, blues from the lake, greens from the trees and the golden sunset.. It’s away from downtown, on the north side… kind of hidden away so not super full of people. The lighting here, especially around sunset, is amazing. I can easily change the mood by changing the direction that I shoot. Ruby wore this purple dress that popped just the right amount and she did her own makeup.

She also has the goofiest personality and I always look forward to taking her photos.
